Counselling for any entrance exam is usually the last phase of the admissions process. During the process, candidates get their documents verified, and based on their scores/rank, they are allotted a seat in the course and college (subject to availability of seats in case of course, and availability of course in case of college) they are willing to take admission in.
CUET UG 2023 counselling will be conducted by the participating universities and colleges after the results and score cards of the candidates are released by the NTA on the official website of the exam. Candidates can apply for UG admission counselling on the official website of the respective institute by uploading their CUET UG score card and other related documents.
CUET 2023Counselling
For CUET UG 2023, each participating university is conducting its own counselling rounds for admission to UG courses. CUET UG 2022 was conducted from 15 July to 20 August in CBT mode. For 2023, after the declaration of CUET UG 2023 result, the universities will release cut off score on their respective websites and will ask candidates to register for the counselling process. Candidates who qualify for the CUET UG 2023 can then visit the official website of the university of their choice and fill in the counselling form.
CUET Spot Counselling
CUET counseling is conducted separately in online mode for candidates from each participating university. Only those candidates whose names are mentioned in the CUET rank list will be called for counselling. Those candidates who have already applied for the first round of counseling but have not been allotted any seat can apply for CUET admission if the participating universities release the vacancy notification. Candidates should closely monitor the official website of the participating university for the same. Accordingly, they have to visit the university campus in person to participate in CUET spot admission for the document verification process.
CUET Merit List
The participating universities of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) previously known as CUCET will be releasing their own CUET merit list in online mode for various courses they are offering. CUET test-takers will be able to check the CUET merit list once the respective universities release it. The universities will release their own merit list of CUET individually on their official website.

Step 2. Click on the CUET merit list link displayed on the home page.
Step 3. Select the link out of the subject-wise links provided there.
Step 4. You can then view the PDF file with the names and scores of all the shortlisted students for that particular university.

CUET UG is conducted in 13 mediums across India for admission into the Undergraduate Programs in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for all the Central Universities (CUs) in India. CUET Counselling- FAQs
Q 1. How will the universities provide admissions based on CUET Scores?
Answer: Each central university participating in CUET will be offering admissions individually for the selected candidates based on CUET merit list. Once the CUET 2023 results are out, candidates will release a merit list of selected candidates for the particular courses. Selected candidates can attend the counselling and take admission.
Q 2. How will I get confirmation of successful CUET registration?
Answer: Once your CUET form is successfully submitted and you have paid the mentioned fees through the available payment options i.e. Net-banking /Debit Card /Credit Card or UPI, you will receive an e-mail and SMS mentioning the e-mail ID & mobile number you have filled in the application form. This will be the proof of your CUET successful registration.
Q 3. How will the CUET counselling be conducted?
Answer: The CUET counselling will be conducted in online mode once the universities release their respective merit lists for their courses.
Q 4. How will the CUET spot counselling take place?
Answer: CUET spot counselling will be conducted only against vacant seats. For example, if some seats for any particular course in any university are vacant, the university will then conduct spot counselling for those particular seats.
Q 5. What are the documents required at the time of CUET counselling?
Answer: For CUET 2023 counselling, candidates must carry Class 10 mark sheet, Class 12 mark sheet, qualifying examination certificate, transfer certificate, conduct certificate, caste certificate, reservation category certificate, and photocopies of original documents.
